This is not a fix or feature update to chaseplane and will result in not having chaseplane camera effects whilst using Track IR but it will enable you to use both side-by-side smoothly.
That's it - now you just have to press that joystick button to switch between Chaseplane camera views and Track IR on the fly Next time you start your sim then start Track IR first and ensure it is 'paused' with the button prior to opening P3D and Chaseplane and that way it'll be a smooth experience from the start.
Perfect, thanks for this find. Like this, TIR users can already use Chaseplane until they implement a proper "fix" or forever, if it is handy enough. Exactly what I was hoping for. Intel iK 5. Good Stuff - it's certainly not the perfect solution but works cleanly and at least gives somewhat ability to use TrackIR along with the great new views and functionality of CP. Using it just now on my first proper flight and used Track IR whilst taxi'ing and switched back and forth without issue.
Nice find but far from perfect. I am thinking about getting Chase Plane mainly for the motion effects and for smooth transitions of views in the VC. The idea of having to disable TrackIR and hence enable Chase Plan just to switch a view isn't very appealing. For the time being, this works for me. I use set views for cockpit setup and adjusting instruments and TrackIR for "everything else", such as situational awareness during landings.
This work around is acceptable while waiting for full TrackIR integration, which is coming and has even been pushed up on the list of planned improvements and feature additions.

The more I use ChasePlane, the more impressed I am Full integration is certainly planned and this is only intended as an interim solution - remember Chaseplane is early access and alpha and therefore not for everyone - similar to if you purchased early access on Steam Glad to hear that it is helping just now until the full integration of which I am certain Keven has given some priority to.
Anyway now to go get some fuel and fly again! So addictive panning around every fine detail of our aircraft now! This is why I always check the Avsim forums. It is where the geniuses gather. Thank you for this work-around. The alternate workaround is available here. FsStudioFrance Youtube Tuto.

Thread: Need help setting up Chaseplane. Thread Tools Show Printable Version. Join Date Aug Posts Need help setting up Chaseplane Hello I had just gotten Chaseplane and I do like it, however I would like to set it up so that the controls are that of the default P3D camera controls.
I was able to do that for the interior virtual cockpit view using the spacebar to move around, however I came across a few issues. The panning of the camera is too slow and I would like to speed it up to that of P3Ds vanilla camera system. I already know how to set up Chaseplane mostly but I just need help with these 3 things. To enable panning in exterior locked spot view, to have the same pan rate as that in interior views 3.
I really do like Chaseplane especially with the turbulence effects it comes with, I just need help with this. Replies: 31 Last Post:PM. Help fs fps help help help help help help help help By enginotrom in forum FS Replies: 11 Last Post:AM.Asked by GLC I chose the option of installing to my P3d folder, as no libraries were available. Is this going to create problems if I update client or content or scenery for P3d in the future because I will be deleting those before I update. I would have preferred that Chaseplane not have been installed in the P3d folder.
While installing Chaseplane it was said that installing ORB x libraries was mandatory for the product to work. Now I have 2. I see no reason for those textures to be there. Why are they necessary for Chaseplane to work? They are taking up a lot of space. I do not own any ORBx products. It was not directed there by choice at installation, as you said. I don't want to mess anything up with my Chaseplane functionality.
Thanks for undertaking clarification of the installation process for future customers. Also it is important to know where the program installs because of potential for virus scanners deleting it and to prevent it being scanned and affecting functionality. I do not use Windows Defender so did not opt to go through that phase of the setup of Chaseplane.
The files I am talking about are not listed under the Libraries page. Ok that worked. When I started P3d it said a scenery area I believe was missing and offered to delete something which I said Ok to. P3d then crashed, but upon restarting seems to be working again and Chaseplane appears intact. What scenery was that?

I don't have that yoke, only a joystick, but I have no problem assigning a joystick button on the hat switch to a camera. I have the Cessna version and I'm not sure if this will do it for you, but a disable Pan in the Controls menu for the yoke. CP will extrapolate the degrees between these four, giving you a fully functional hat switch. Ernest Pergrem. You need to be a member in order to leave a comment.

Posted June 22,
. Posted June 23, Works great! Matthew S. Posted June 29, Thanks my friends! If you feel like it is missing anything that could be useful, please post it as a comment bellow. I was frustrated with issues I was having with my current camera view app, when I remembered seeing something a while back about what FSFX was doing with a new sim camera program. I found your Alpha offer and immediately went for it.
It's only been one day, but I am not disappointed in my decision. My initial thoughts are the ease of installation and navigating around the interface; in spite of not having a true manual or tutorials.
I had some basic views set up very quickly and went flying. There are a couple things that I am still trying to figure out, and I might have some more input in the coming days. But for now, thanks again for a promising product. I purchased the alpha ChasePlane and can't believe I've never used something like this before. Makes simming much more fun. In either case, I have some questions for the group. What are most of you assigning to the HAT switch on your joysticks? I tried using some of the presets I created, but I need to redo some to make it work better for me.
I'm not a user yet but I'm highly interested in buying Chaseplane. But still I have one question left. Will the camera in the VC be fixed to the bank angle of the aircraft or will there be an option that the camera banks a little less than the aircraft? I would find this a very cool option.
